Defects.
Table is not complete with all components.
Table does not sit evenly on flat surface.
Casters do not swivel or roll smoothly, quietly, or evenly.
Exposed weld is not ground smooth to blend with adjacent surfaces.
Welds are not continuous, not clean, or not free of pitting, splatter, and discoloration.
Exposed or accessible edges, corners, or surfaces are not free of burrs, sharpness, and sharp projections.
Finish is not uniform and free of course grind marks and scratched areas.
Table is not clean and free of oil, grease, dirt, or other contamination.
Sampling for tests. Sampling for tests, including dimensional test, shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL 2.5 (percent defective) and an inspection level of S-3. The unit of product for test purposes shall be one surgical instrument and surgical dressing table.
a. First article. Where a first article sample is required, all tests shall be performed on that unit.
b. Acceptance testing. When a first article sample has not been required, one unit shall be subjected to the performance test specified herein. If a test article sample has successfully passed all tests, performance test shall not be required at acceptance.
Tests.
Electrical conductivity. The assembled table, complete with casters, shall be tested for electrical conductivity in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code No.99, Health Care Facilities. Failure to meet electrical conductivity standards shall constitutes a defect.
