Labeling: Instructions for: auxiliary manual crank operation-warning instructing the user to remove bed from power “source when manually operated; electronically sensitive areas, indication of safety for use: patient controls identifying function and direction of movement.
Safety: All electrical components shall be UL544 listed and meet current NFPA 70 and 76B requirements. Electrical motors incorporate over-current/thermal protection complying with requirements of UL547. Automatic reset devices should not constitute a hazard to persons. Leakage current not to exceed 100 micro-amps, resistance to ground less than 0.15 ohms. No exposed lift screws and/or motors. Wood or particle board protected with laminate and conform to NFPA 255, Class A Fire Retardant Materials. Electrical components shielded to prevent electro-magnetic interference with life-support systems. All exposed surfaces free from burrs, sharp edges or other defects.
Operation: Quiet and smooth and perform all functions with a 300 pound (135 kg) load. With the mattress support frame in a horizontal position the bed shall be capable of lifting an evenly distributed 600 pound (270 kg) load twice.
Endurance: Perform all therapeutic positions with a 300 pound (135 kg) load for a minimum of 2100 complete cycles, accomplished in 5 days maximum.
Dimensions: Maximum length with bumpers - 91 inches (231.14 cm); maximum width including side rails (raised or lowered) 42 inches (106.68 cm); height of mattress support surface in low position 16-1/2 inches to 19-1/2 inches (41.91 cm to 49.53 cm); height of mattress support surface in high position - 28 inches to 32 inches (71.12 cm to 81.28 cm). Minimum height of frame to floor - 6-1/2 inches (16.51 cm) (adaptors or extenders not permitted).
Options: When specified the ordering activity may indicate:
a. Color and style of head and footboard.
b. Type of rail configuration (full, three-quarter, half).
