The cart shall be equipped with an I.V. pole and a Mayo support. The I.V. pole shall be constructed with sufficient strength to withstand attachment of a thirty pound patient monitor. The Mayo frame shall accept a standard 12-5/8 inch by 19-1/8 inch tray. the tray shall be furnished with the cart.
The cart shall be equipped with a 100 volt, 3 wire, 10 Amp capacity coiled cord and four Hospital Grade 110 volt grounded outlets to allow use of line-operated devices in non-explosive atmospheres.
The anesthesiology cart shall be rigidly constructed for strength and durability. All exposed edges, if not hemmed, beaded, or flanged, shall be smoothly finished to remove all sharp edges. The finished anesthesiology cart shall be clean and free from oil, grease, dirt, or other contamination.
All items shall conform to the applicable requirements of a nationally recognized standard for the safety of medical equipment of the issue in effect on the date of solicitation. all items shall be approved as conforming to such a standard by an independent nationally recognized testing laboratory.
Workmanship. The anesthesiology equipment cart shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Each (EA). One cart, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Quality Assurance Provisions.
Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contact or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
