Defects.
Blister sheet not free of cracks, tears, or ruptures.
Blister sheet not amber in color.
Blister sheet not transparent.
Liquid dose blister does not have graduations.
Individual blister does not separate easily from sheet.
Sampling for tests. Sampling for tests including dimensional test, shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 2.5 (percent defective) and inspection level of S-3. The unit of product for test purposes shall be one unit dose blister sheet.
Tests.
Sealing test.
Two liquid dose and two solid dose blister sheets shall be sealed to an appropriate lidding sheet using a suitable power sealer. The blister sheet shall then be checked for a positive seal, easy peeling of the lidding sheet, and non-resealability after peeling off of the lidding sheet. Failure for the blister sheet to achieve a positive seal, have an easily peeled lidding sheet, and be non-resealable after peeling of the lidding sheet, shall constitute a defect.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
