Sampling for examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 4.0 (percent defective) and an inspection level of II. The unit of product for examination purposes shall be one whirlpool bath as specified in this description.

Any component of the bath is missing.
Any component of the bath is fractured, split, cracked, punctured, cut, dented, sprung, malformed, creased, or otherwise impaired, affecting serviceability.
Any part is misplaced, loose, or not in proper alignment, affecting serviceability.
Temperature range of the dial thermometer is not as specified.
Turbine ejector lowering and raising device is not free from jams or binds.
Top edge of tank is not a smooth, beaded rim.
Bath is not free from cracked, broken, or unsound welds.
Bath is not free from sharp edges, burrs, or metal slivers.
Exposed welds are not ground smooth to blend with adjacent surfaces.
Welds are not continuous, not clean, not free of pitting, splatter, and discoloration.
Bath finish is not uniform or not free of course grind marks and scratched areas.
Bath is not clean, not free of dirt, oil, and grease.
Bath instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance are not furnished.
