Sampling for examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 4.0 (percent defective) and an inspection level of II. The unit of product for examination purposes shall be one desk light as specified in this description.
Defects.
Surgical dressing is not complete with all component parts.
Jar, cover, or handle is not fabricated form AISI series 300 corrosion-resisting steel.
Jar, cover, or handle is not free of sharp edges, dents, cracks, tears, ripples, or deformities.
Jar does not sit evenly, without rock or wooble, on a flat surface.
Jar or cover is not free of course grid marks, scratches, or mars.
Jar or cover finish is not a No.4 commercial finish or better.
Jar, cover, or handle is not free of chips, oil, grease, dirt, or other foreign matter.
Sampling for tests. Sampling for tests (including dimensional tests), shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 2.5 (percent defective) and an inspection level of S-3. The unit of product for test purposes shall be one desk light.
a. First article. Where a first article sample is required, all tests shall be performed on that unit.
b. Acceptance testing. When a first article sample has not been required, one unit shall be subjected to the performance test specified herein. If a test article sample has successfully passed all tests, performance test shall not be required at acceptance.
