PAPER SHEETING, EXAMINATION-TREAMENT TABLES
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description describes an absorbent paper sheeting in the form of a roll, for the use on examining, physical therapy, urological x-ray tables, and other places where needed to provide a clean surface for a patient.
Salient characteristics: Paper Sheeting, Examination-Treatment Tables, bleached, Kraft, semi-creped (stretch factor minimum 3% and maximum of 11%) wet strength absorbent paper, 8.6. kg. basis weight plus 5% minus 5%; slightly wound on fiber/cardboard core.
Type I – 45 cm wide (plus or minus 0.32 cm), 152 m long).
Type II – 45 cm wide (plus or minus 0.32 cm), 46 m long (outer diameter of roll not to exceed 9 cm).
Type III – 45 cm wide (plus or minus 0.32 cm), 38 m long (outer diameter of roll not to exceed 9 cm). Core diameter to accommodate a 2 cm dowel).
Workmanship. The paper sheeting shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). For Type III, one package of 12 rolls of paper sheeting, as specified, constitutes one unit. The packaging for VA items (Types I and II) shall appear in the solicitation.
