HEATER, HEAT TREATMENT PAD
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a mobile, lidded stainless steel apparatus, with water heating system for preparing moist heat treatment pads used in physical therapy.
Salient Characteristics:
The apparatus shall be suitable for preparation of moist heat treatment pads for use in physical therapy. It shall be a completely integrated, mobile, lidded, stainless steel container, temperature controlled electrical water heating system.
The apparatus shall be equipped with at least the following:
a. Container
b. Hinged container lid with outer joint, handle, and opening stop.
c. Electrical heating circuit with:
* Heater
* Thermostat
* Temperature control set-point adjustment mechanism
* Low water and high temperature safety cut-off mechanism
* Safety cut-off indication light
* ON/OFF switch with pilot light
* Power cord with plug
