COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
DISPENSER, SURGICAL DETERGENT
(Free-Standing)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a free-standing surgical detergent dispenser.
Salient characteristics:
The surgical detergent shall be a free-standing foot-operated, surgical scrub detergent dispenser consisting of two refillable bottles or bowls, tubing, two foot pumps and a metal stand.
The bottles or bowls shall be fabricated of a tan plastic material, each with a minimum capacity of 28 fluid ounces and a removable cover for refilling. Each container shall have a stainless steel adjustable spout that extends from the container 3 to 5 inches. Each container shall have a mounting bracket that allows it to be easily detached for cleaning.
Each container shall have a minimum of 6 feet of medical grade polyvinyl chloride tubing attached. The tubing shall connect to the bottom of the container on one end and to the foot pump on the other. The foot pump shall be designed to be compact, durable, and easy to operate.
The floor stand shall be corrosion-resisting steel approximately 5 feet high with a weighted base to insure stability. The stand shall hold two detergent dispenser containers. The stand shall be pre-drilled to accept the detergent dispenser container mounting brackets.
All dispenser components shall constructed from materials designed to resist corrosion without contaminating, discoloring, or adversely affecting the surgical detergent. All liquid flow control devices, ports, and passages shall be designed to avoid clogging.
