CABINET, ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a mobile electrocardiograph cabinet with a storage area with a drop-leaf door.
Salient characteristics:
The electrocardiograph cabinet shall be mobile and suitable for accommodating an EKG machine.
The cabinet shall have the following approximate dimensions:
Length: 18 inches (45.72 cm)
Width: 18 inches (45.72 cm)
Depth of cabinet: 16 inches (40.64 cm)
(inside depth, top to bottom)
Height to cabinet top: 31 inches (78.72 cm)
(from floor, excluding operator’s handles)
The cabinet shall have a cut-out in the top approximately 12-3/4 inches (32.38 cm) by 9-1/2 inches (24.13 cm) to secure an ECG and for cable connections.
The cabinet shall have a full length drop-leaf door hinged approximately 8 inches (20.32 cm) below the top surface with a full length, full width shelf behind for cable and paper storage. There shall be a storage area under the drop-leaf door, open to the front.
The cabinet shall have a frame constructed of chrome-plated steel. The cabinet shall have a suitable handle for operator use in moving from area to area.
The panels of the cabinet shall be vinyl, or high pressure laminate, covered particle board, or equivalent strength construction. The thickness of the material used shall insure a normal use-life.
