HOLDER, CLINICAL CHART

The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a nominal 9 by 12 inch aluminum clinical chart holder.
Salient characteristics:
The clinical chart holder shall be a book type holder which, in addition to holding clinical charts, shall have to clips inside front cover to hold correspondence and one spring-loaded clip inside front cover to hold addressograph plates. The holder shall have a 3/4 inch (1.91 cm) capacity.
The overall holder dimensions shall be 9 inches plus or minus 1/4 inch 12 inches plus or minus 1/2 inch, exclusive of the hinge extension. The minimum working area of the paper shall be 8-3/8 inches wide by 9-1/2 inches long.
The holder shall be fabricated of mill anodized plain aluminum material free from warping, sharp edges, pitting, scratches, or stains. The holder shall be top opening with a smoothly operating torsion spring and suitable extension hangers.
Workmanship. The clinical chart holder shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing twenty-four holders, as specified, constitutes one unit.
