COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
SURGICAL PACK, LOWER EXTREMITY
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers one type of surgical pack, disposable, lower extremity, nonwoven material, sterile, individually sealed.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be a sterile, disposable, surgical drape pack fabricated of nonwoven material for creating a sterile field specifically for lower extremity procedures during surgery. The pack shall consist of the following components with the approximate dimensions in inches:
a. One overwrap/tablecover, 50 by 90 inches (127 by 228.6 cm).
b. One overwrapped scrub nurse gown and hand towel.
c. Two surgical gowns, with hand towels.
d. One Mayo stand cover with pad, 23 by 58 inches (58.4 by 147.3 cm).
e. Two utility drapes, 20 by 29 inches (50.8 by 73.6 cm).
f. One absorbent hand towel, 19 by 24 inches (48.2 by 60.96 cm).
g. One drape sheet 41 by 57 inches (104.1 by 144.78 cm).
h. One impervious stockinette.
i. One split sheet, 72 by 84 inches (182.8 by 213.3 cm) with adhesive strip and fabric reinforcement.
j. One drape, 72 by 100 inches (182.8 by 254 cm), with adhesive strip and fabric reinforcement.
k. One incise drape, 13 by 16 inches (33 by 40.6 cm).
The overwrap/tablecover shall be fan-folded for ease in opening on the surgical back table. Shall be impervious to fluids and moisture.
